1. As of Sunday, it’s officially FALL!!! If I were creative enough, I would’ve posted a delicious autumn-inspired recipe, but I’m not, so I sipped a Sam Adams Oktoberfest and O’Fallen Pumpkin Beer instead. Welcome, fall. 🙂
2. Ok, Las Vegas’ Venetian and Paris I understand—and love—but entire communities copied from existing cities? This is so weird. I can’t help but feel sorry for the developers—but then again, what were they thinking?
3. Oh, first world problems. These haiku are hysterical (and #12 really is a problem for me).
4. The Color Run is in 3 weeks, and I’ve been on a “run” only once since May! Somebody motivate me, please. Better yet, somebody chase me!
5. Is it just me—or does anybody else think the sock bun is a sham? I know this simple, lazy-day hair style is old news, but I just can’t get the hang of it. My hair is neither overly thick nor thin and wispy, so I guess I can only blame my own lack of fine motor skills.
6. I’ve mentioned it before, but Mark and I are obsessed with The Mediterranean Sandwich Co. So much so, apparently, that one of the search terms that led to my blog recently was “foodiecology mediterranean sandwich co.” Should I be getting paid for this free advertising? 😉
7. Can I just say how my foodie-obsession is out of control? I walk several paces behind Mark at the grocery, eying up the aisles for new-to-me foods. I used to have this grocery store anxiety where I sped through (woman with double-wide stroller, look out or die!) avoiding all human interaction. Now I’m becoming the very person I hate because I browse. The good news is that it led to buying this potato chip chocolate bar. If you’ve never had a chocolate-covered potato chip, you need to experience one right now. Salty + sweet = heaven.
8. Speaking of grocery-browsing, I finally found the blended coconut Chobani this past weekend! I hope it’s everything I’ve anticipated it to be—I think it will be especially delicious with some semi-sweet chocolate chips and extra flaked coconut tossed in. Oh, if only I had a Chobani endorsement…
9. I need these white chocolate almond butter blondies in my belly right this moment. I’ve heard the horror stories of baking sweets with beans and never tried it myself, but this might be the recipe that leads to true love. How can something that looks so positively mouth-watering NOT be delicious? I just need to get my hands on some more vanilla extract (baking fail number #1 = running out of vanilla).
10. It’s funny (sad?) how true this Top 8 Conversations Bloggers Have in Real Life is. #6 and #1 happen much too frequently, and I’ve caught myself recently doing #5. Like she says, “Everything in your life is now potential blog fodder.” God help my poor family and friends.
