Happy, happy hump day!
Today is spectacular because it’s actually felt like fall the last several days and tomorrow is my Friday! It’s been a slow, frustrating couple of weeks, so I’m more than excited for our weekend trip to New Orleans. The weather is supposed to be perfectly clear and cool, and I know we’ll be face-planting into some delicious food while we’re there.
Before that, though, let’s take a look at What I Ate Wednesday Tuesday.
Breakfast
Millet cooked with goji berries and topped with almond milk, almond butter, pecans, and cinnamon. Super ugly (plus this is a pre-microwave picture), but, even without sweetener, it tasted ok.
Lunch
Chicken salad on whole grain bread with a side of baby carrots and ranch dressing.
Afternoon snacks
An adorable (but smudged) pumpkin cookie from Pollman’s Bakery and a cup of green tea.
And a banana served as pre-yoga fuel later in the day.
Dinner
Homemade tomato-cannellini bean soup with a classic grilled cheese (recycled picture; with my post-yoga insatiability, I forgot to take one).
Next week’s WIAW should be much more interesting since we’ll be eating dinner at John Besh’s Lüke on Friday night, dinner at another Besh restaurant, Domenica, on Saturday night, and brunch Sunday (we’ve yet to decide on a restaurant—but of course there are plenty) before we head to the Superdome. Some adult beverages will probably certainly make an appearance, too. When in Rome New Orleans, right?…

A little boring compared to some WIAW, but tasty! Thanks for stopping by.
