1. I’m proud of myself: I finally signed up for some freelance/content websites over the weekend. My application was already accepted to one site (I haven’t had time to submit my writing sample for the other one yet), so I’m excited to peruse the article requests and begin writing—and possibly making a little extra $$$.
2. Since I love all things British, here’s a reminder that today is Guy Fawkes Day. Go build a bonfire or something!
3. Several episodes in, and I’m still not feeling this season of Homeland. I don’t like the focus on Dana—and please tell me what mother doesn’t question her 16-year-old daughter’s “friend” when the daughter announces she’s going to live with her.
4. Yesterday I read this article on yoga and hip injuries. I think there might be something to it because, in the last few months, my hips have been popping often and feeling strange. They don’t hurt, per se, but maybe I need to tone down some of the postures.
5. Last week we had a few new people move into our office. I have to say, it’s kind of strange not being the only female any more—I’d gotten used to it. Hopefully these new ladies aren’t the catty, gossiping type because I just can’t handle that sort of thing (so far, they’re great).
6. Abita Christmas Ale is in stores now, and it’s quite tasty. Pretty soon it will be acceptable to listen to Christmas music and decorate the house (but not yet, Mark!).
7. I’m pretty much in love with this coat; if only it would get cold enough to wear it (or any of the ones I own)!
8. I never would’ve thought of using leftover quinoa this way, but these quesadillas sound freaking amazing.
9. How to Love a Girl Who Writes couldn’t be more perfect. Love it!
10. For once, a million thoughts are not circulating my brain–and there’s really nothing else random to say. Happy Tuesday?…
