1. Truth: I never know how to begin these Thinking Out Loud posts. I’m a crazy, random person anyway, but I feel like too much randomness straight out of the gate might scare you from reading!
2. Speaking of scaring people, apparently I need to work on my “resting bitch-face syndrome” and approachability. A week or two ago, I was told by a coworker that I’m intimidating, and yesterday I was told by somebody that he thought I was extremely pissed off the first time we met based on what I assume was my aggressive walking and lack of a smile. (Hey, walking it off works! It’s been a long time since I’ve thrown a file folder against the cubicle wall…)
3. In other news, I’ve finally begun reading in my spare time again. I recently finished the last Sookie Stackhouse book Dead Ever After (it was ok, but I’m glad this is the end) and am now half-way through Divergent. I’m really enjoying it so far. It’s difficult to put down, and I’ll definitely have to see the movie in March!
4. Speaking of books, yesterday I took this Harry Potter personality quiz; no surprise that I ended up as Hermione Granger. Good thing I have my own Hermione magic wand!
5. In the food arena, I’m obsessed with these healthy, naturally-sweetened banana bread muffin tops. They were so incredibly easy to make, and they’re absolute perfection for breakfast.
6. And while I’m talking about breakfast, I never thought I’d hear myself say this, but I’m getting tired of my usual overnight oats and yogurt bowls! I think I may whip up some mini frittatas or revisit avocado toast (which always = perfection).
7. Now seems like the perfect time for a token “I’m obsessed with my dog” picture.
But can you blame me? He’s so adorable (except for when he’s barking at the neighbors, pooping in the guest bedroom, shaking his ears in my face in the middle of the night, etc.)!
8. I think we’re going to go to the Senior Bowl for the first time this weekend. There’s not any specific player I care about seeing, but since the weather is supposed to be sunny and cool (instead of dreary and rainy like most years), it should be fun.
9. This weekend should also be a beautiful time to start easing back into running. I want to do the Azalea Trail Run (probably the 5K rather than 10K) again this year, and it’s on March 22. That gives me roughly 2 months, so if I don’t slack off, I should be good!
10. I hear dinner calling my name (food is always beckoning me!), so I’m wrapping this up (and I should probably pay some attention to my amazing, handsome, smart, wonderful husband and sweet dog). Until next time!

I’ve been told that I intimidate people as well, and I honestly have no idea how since I always make it a point to smile whenever I catch someone’s eye. I guess my ‘neutral’ face just leans a little more towards scary? And how good is Divergent? It may just be one of my favourite series ever, and I think I’ve already read it 3 times? Definitely looking forward to the movie coming out, but I just hope they don’t wreck it! Also… I have a crush on Four 😆

Haha. As I was reading yesterday, I caught myself thinking “is it weird to have a crush on a fictional character (who’s 11 years–wow, I’m old!–younger than I am)?” I <3 Four. 🙂

I used to hate dogs (sorry but I said it) and now I love ours. How we ever got one, I don’t know…

I never hated dogs, but I was afraid of them as a child (mostly because we never had one till I was 12 & my neighbor’s dog used to jump on my legs with the sharpest claws!)
Now I like most dogs more than I do most people! (I’m only half serious.) 😉

I’ve never heard it referred to as the “resting bitch-face syndrome”…dying laughing right now!!! I totally have it…I can’t help it!

Yeah, I’d never heard it till recently. I think I was reading an article on Thought Catalog that referenced it. Looks like it plagues many of us!
