Last Valentine’s Day I did a round up of what I considered to be some pretty awesome fitness finds, and I thought it would be fun to do it again this year.
This list, however, includes kitchen/foodie gadgets as well—because, as a healthy living blogger, I enjoy both eating and exercising!
If you don’t want your loved one to go the chocolate and jewelry route again this year (not that there’s anything wrong with either of those!), take a look at some of these affordable gifts below and start dropping some hints.
.Foodie.
1. Vinturi wine aerator
I bought one of these for Mark this past Christmas, and it really has improved the body and flavor of some of the less expensive wines (think $5 range) we’ve tried. Add a bottle of your favorite wine, and you’ve got the perfect gift to enjoy together. [image source]
2. Monogrammed cutting board
My in-laws gave us a beautiful monogrammed board for Christmas, and while we’ve yet to find a place to display it, it’s a really neat, thoughtful, and personalized gift. [image source]
3. Couples cooking class
If you’re anything like Mark and me, you often prefer giving each other experiences rather than things. A cooking class is a perfect way to spend time with your significant other—and create something delicious and special together. [image source]
4. DIY infused liquor
Does the foodie in your life enjoy a spicy Bloody Mary or sweet cocktail now and again? Make your own flavored vodka (or other liquor), such as cucumber, vanilla, or hibiscus. [image source]
5. DIY recipe book
Do you two have a bunch of favorite recipes that you often make for one another? Why not compile them in a homemade recipe book? Add photos, quotes, and anything else special and unique to your relationship. [image source]

1. Yurbuds
I haven’t actually tried these ear buds myself, but I have seen wonderful reviews throughout the blogosphere. As a bonus, the colors are really pretty.
2. 110% Flat Out Sox**
I’ve tried these socks out for myself (after yoga and around the house) and found they’re extremely functional and comfortable! As a bonus, they come in a pretty black and pink design (no hearts, though)—perfect for Valentine’s Day.
3. Outdoor excursion for 2
Why not give an experience for both of you to enjoy—whether it’s hiking, kayaking, or kite-boarding, use your imagination and think about what gives you and your loved one the ultimate thrill. [image CC by PelionClimber and made available by CC BY-SA.30]
4. Professional massage
Nothing’s better to soothe sore muscles than a professional massage. Whether you make it a spa day for 2 or just a treat for one, pretty much all local spas and massage studios sell gift certificates. [image source]
5. Bic Bands
So, these were on my list last year, but they’re just so cute and functional (and inexpensive) that I had to include them again. I think the pink sparkle band is perfect for Valentine’s Day.
I hope these help you find the perfect gift for the foodie and/or fitness guru in your life!
**I received a free pair of 110% Flat Out Compression Sox to try for myself. I was not compensated for this blog post and all opinions are my own.**
