Once the Christmas tree goes up and the air turns cool, I just want to spend hours and hours baking delicious holiday treats (easier said than done with a toddler, though).
This year, I’m even more excited about holiday baking because of a new (to me) product I was introduced to: Nektar Naturals Honey Crystals.
I don’t know about you, but I love honey. I love it in my tea. I love it baked into muffins and cakes. I love it drizzled over Greek yogurt, and I even love it straight from the spoon to soothe a sore throat.
What I don’t particularly like about honey, though, is the sticky mess and tendency to crystallize in the bottle over time.
But now I can have my honey and eat it too—at home or on the go—because Nektar Naturals’ blend of honey and granulated sugar couldn’t be any easier to transport or use!
I was even gifted with these handy measuring spoons.
Although I haven’t done any baking quite yet, I have enjoyed using Nektar Naturals in my hot tea and in my oatmeal. It’s perfect for sprinkling into the baggies of pre-measured oatmeal that I toss into my lunchbox to heat up for breakfast when I get to work!
While the honey flavor isn’t quite as pronounced as all-natural honey, it does still have that rich, fruity, and slightly acidic flavor that makes honey so delicious.
I think Nektar Naturals would be a fantastic substitute for sugar in cake or cookies, and it would also add a nice crunch when sprinkled over plain yogurt. I imagine it would make for a killer dry rub for salmon or even chicken! Check out their recipe page for more ideas.
Nektar Naturals is available at your local Wal-Mart, and you can use their handy store locator to find even more options. In addition to the easy-pour bottle I received, they also sell single serving packets that would be perfect to keep in your purse or at your desk.

I’ve actually used this product many times. Never thought about using it as a substitute in cookies, that’s a great idea!
I’ve put it in drinks and sprinkled on oatmeal in the past, it’s a great product!
