The other day I was attempting (read: struggling) to come up with blog topics, when I suddenly remembered sharing my fall and holiday bucket lists with you all.
Oh, hey, it’s a new season!
I may have missed the official welcoming of spring a couple weeks back, but since some of you guys are still dealing with freezing temps, I figured it would be ok if I spread some warm weather vibes.
Here’s my 2016 Spring Bucket List.
I am so excited for our beach trip toward the end of the month—I’m already fantasizing about relaxing in the sun, enjoying coffee and breakfast in the window-filled breakfast nook, and chasing around after Bazooka.
I really hope that kid takes more of a liking to the water than he did last year. He loved the sand, but he screamed bloody murder when we let him “dip his toes” in the gulf. #parentingfail
Another thing I’m excited about is seeing Ben Folds for our anniversary. He’s playing at the Saenger (again—he played a few years ago and it was awesome) which makes it a wonderful, more intimate show. We just need to decide where to have dinner beforehand.
As for some of the other things, I really want to take advantage of the milder temperatures and enjoy spending time as a family outdoors. Iggy needs the exercise, and I want to build simple traditions (feeding the ducks) with Bazooka while he’s young.
Who knows—maybe he has the green thumb required to keep our herb garden alive! 😉
I also want to continue prioritizing self care, which is why I think getting back into a reading habit (I’m almost finished with The Husband’s Secret) and starting a devotional will be a good idea.
And I better act quickly if I want to run one (or both) of the races I have in mind; the Tunnel Vision 5K (this one is so fun!) and 8K by the Bay are coming up soon!
Here’s hoping we all get to enjoy a lovely spring before the heat and humidity of summer arrive.
- What is something on your springtime bucket list?
- Any trips, races, or celebrations in your near future?

I love this idea. I skipped spring 100% of the time and typically do a summer bucket list. Must not skip spring 🙂

Summer is so brutal around here that I try to give all my attention to the brief spring we do have 😉

The patio! Eating outside is one of my favorite parts of the weather getting warmer.
I hope to sign up for a 5k in May!

I agree – yet we hardly ever eat outside. Good luck with your 5k prep if you do sign up!

Sounds like a great bucket list! I want to finish out my semester strong in school and get a job hopefully by June! Also get back to my yoga studio when I’m home, see family, get more time outside, start journalling, and work on ways to improve my blog 🙂

Great goals – I hope you get to do all those things and more. Good luck with your classes and job hunt.

This is a great bucket list! I always say I’m going to make one too, and then I never get around to it! Wish I had a beach trip to look forward to at the end of the month! 🙂 When my son was 6 months old, we took him to the beach for the first time and he was not a big fan of the sand or water at all, but then we were in Florida in December (he was 22 months) and he LOVED the sand and waves! I’m hosting an online book club starting in April if you want to join! 🙂

Aw, I’m hoping my son’s second trip is like the one you describe!
I just checked out your post about your book club – I need to see if my library has that book available. It sounds really good!
