Hey guys! How’s your week shaping up? Mine has been challenging (read: SLEEPLESS) the last couple of days, but luckily we’ve reached the hump.
Not to wish my life away, but I am hoping the rest of this week flies by. And that Bazooka sleeps the night in his bed.
Until then, I can gaze dreamily at these photos from brunch this past Sunday to help perk up my mood.
Brunch at The Noble South
The last (and only other) time I ate at The Noble South was almost two years ago—and I was very, very pregnant with Bazooka!
Remarkably, the food is just as delicious as it was that first time, and I’m still in love with the bright, farmhouse-chic interior.
To begin, Mark and I both ordered mimosas. Bonus points for going heavy on the champagne and serving them in large wine glasses. 😉
I was craving a savory breakfast, and it came down to two choices for me: the bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit or the baked eggs. After asking our waitress for her recommendation, I went with the eggs (with tomato creole sauce, sausage, and a pickled zucchini garnish).
Boy, were the eggs flavorful! They definitely had a spicy kick to them, but not to the point of being overwhelming. The jalapeno cornbread was cakey and delicious, too.
Mark had trouble deciding on his dish, too, but he ultimately chose the fried oysters benedict.
Whoa. While Mark isn’t a fan of over-easy or poached eggs, he inhaled the dish (but not before sharing a bite of perfectly fried oyster—one of six generously sized ones!—with me).
I didn’t get a good taste of the sauce, but it didn’t look heavy like hollandaise often tends to be.
Check out Catherine's #review of @The_Noble_South brunch. Spoiler: it was DELICIOUS. Share on XWe both thoroughly enjoyed our brunch. The price was reasonable, and I love the focus on farm-to-table, local sources when possible. We can’t wait to try dinner!
The Noble South is located at 203 Dauphin Street, Mobile, AL. You can find them on the web, Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.

Farm to table restaurants sound AMAZING! We’ve never been near one, but if we are some day I would love to try!

Yes, somehow it tastes better knowing it came from a local farm or supplier 🙂
