Hey, it’s Monday already!
Did you guys have a good weekend? Ours was nice and relaxing. We had an early Thanksgiving dinner at my parents’ house on Saturday, and Sunday I did some cleaning while Mark started putting up some of the Christmas decorations.
Ugh. I firmly believe Thanksgiving should have its time in the spotlight before Christmas decorations go up, but since we’ll be celebrating Thanksgiving with my in-laws, I compromised and told him he could decorate the week before. But we’re not getting a tree until the week after Thanksgiving!
Anyway, it’s been a while since I did one of these Currently posts, so let’s hop to it.
Currently // November 2016
Reading // Still Missing* by Chevy Stevens. I read another book of hers, That Night, a while back and really liked it, but this one is just so-so. I’ll finish it, but I’m not in a hurry to do so.
Watching // This is Us. I love these kinds of shows and movies, and I can tell just a few episodes in this one will be a tear-jerker.
Listening to // “Hamilton.” I listened to it when it first came out, but since I didn’t have it on my iPod, I just kind of went on my merry way until I realized I could listen by signing into my husband’s Amazon Prime account. Now I’m obsessed.
Needing // A shower. 😉 Since I jumped right into cleaning this morning (I’m writing this Sunday afternoon), I haven’t gotten one yet…TMI?
Loving // That it FINALLY FEELS LIKE FALL!!!! Yesterday was downright cold (for Alabama) and I actually got to wear my riding boots. Woot!
Not Loving // How awful my Saints are playing this year. Oh well, WHO DAT?!!! anyway…
Eating // Well, this week will primarily consist of finishing off leftovers from Saturday, but tonight Mark cooked a fancy salmon dish topped with a white bean, cherry tomato, and olive garnish. It was really tasty!
Drinking // At the moment, water. My water consumption has been awful lately. Maybe I need to do another sparkling detox, haha. Or just take advantage of the RTIC tumbler* Mark bought me. It’s almost identical to the Yeti* ones but much cheaper.
Craving // Some of my favorite homemade cranberry sauce. I’m making it this week, so I just need to be patient!
Avoiding // Planning our vacation/wedding trip for January. We’ve got time, but I definitely don’t want to put it off until the last minute!
Happy about // A decision I made recently that involved taking some initiative and standing up for myself (sorry for being vague)…just know that I’m glad I did it.
Looking forward to // A 2.5 day work week and Turkey Day with family! Can’t wait!

Have a great Thanksgiving, Alyssa! Mashed potatoes, my husband’s in particular, are probably my favorite Thanksgiving dish, too.

I’m currently reading a book called ‘quiet’ about introverts. I’m loving it because it is making me not feel so bad about the way that i am.
I’m a firm believer that Christmas should be celebrated as early as possible haha. My flat is all holly and jolly already 😛

I read that book when it came out a while back…loved it because I am 100% an introvert. You would get along with my husband then since you’re a fan of early Christmas decorating. 🙂
