Comin’ at you very late tonight! I’ve had this link love post compiled since Thursday, but I completely forgot to post it. Ha!
How was your weekend? Ours was fun – we took Bazooka to a Mardi Gras parade Saturday afternoon (not sure if he was feeling it based on this picture!) and had dinner at my parents’ house. Today was spent cleaning and making/photographing a couple recipes for the blog.
Now I’m relaxing, watching Girls, and wishing the weekend wasn’t almost over.
Enjoy the reads and have a great week!

It’s scary how much I relate to this post. In hindsight, I definitely dealt with some PPD/PPA. I hate that I was too scared, ashamed, angry, etc. to get help sooner. I remember feeling overwhelmed with love for my child—and like, Meghan, I never wanted to hurt Bazooka—but damn did I feel unqualified to be a mother. I spent too many mornings and afternoons bawling into the floor because I couldn’t handle what my body and being were meant to do. If anything, that experience gave me empathy and a passion to support and speak up for women’s health issues. I’m so glad Meghan shared this from the “other side” of such a big struggle.

This weekend I moved back to college which was pretty hard. I always miss my family so much. But I’m slowly getting back into the swing of things!
Thanks so much for sharing my post!

I lived on campus for college, but my school was in my hometown, so I never really had to deal with that homesickness/adjustment stage. Glad you’re getting back into the swing of things. Good luck!
