Guess what?! It’s gonna be May!
And since May is upon us, that means it’s time for some all-American celebrating Mexican style: Cinco de Mayo.
I realize that Cinco de Mayo is largely a commercialized excuse to stuff your faces with Mexican food (gimme allllll the guac!) and tequila, and while I’m past the bucket o’ margaritas stage of my youth (good times, good times), I still love to feast on nachos and sip my way through the tantalizing and tangy combination of tequila, triple sec, and lime juice.
Tequila and I have a poor history, but I can handle it in moderation—aka once or twice a year.
Since I haven’t been experimenting in the kitchen much, I don’t have any recipes of my own, but I did compile a round-up of the best-looking libations around the interwebs. Ole!
Cinco de Mayo Margarita Round-Up
Spicy Pineapple Cilantro Margaritas // The Inspired Home
Cherry Coconut Margaritas // The Almond Eater
Key Lime Beergaritas // How Sweet It Is
Spicy Cucumber Margaritas // Gimme Some Oven
Charred Jalapeño and Carrot Margaritas // Salt & Wind
Fresh Blueberry Margaritas // Love & Olive Oil
Watermelon Rose Margaritas // How Sweet It Is
Pineapple Cherry Margaritas // The Balanced Berry
Honey Pear Margarita // The Almond Eater
Fresh Honeydew Margaritas // Cookie + Kate
Frozen Blackberry Margaritas // Cooking With Curls
The Best Coconut Margarita // Foodie Crush
Pink Grapefruit Margaritas with Chili Salt // How Sweet It Is

Some of these are classic, and some are extra fruity and creative if the traditional ‘rita isn’t your thing. Hope you find something on here you enjoy! And if you’re not a fan of alcohol (or have to abstain for other reasons), try my virgin mango margarita. It’s super easy and delicious.
