Exercise doesn’t have to be complicated with Aaptiv, an affordable fitness app for any lifestyle and fitness level. With its new maternity and postnatal program, Aaptiv is perfect for new (and not-so-new) moms!
A little over a year ago, I wrote about how motherhood has changed my approach to fitness.
You can read that post here, but basically I shared how exercise now is less about physical aesthetics and pushing myself to exhaustion and more about feeling my best and teaching my son what true health looks like.
It’s easy to imagine that my fitness routine looks a lot different now than it did 4 years ago.
Before I discovered I was pregnant with Bazooka, I ran frequently.
I attended an adult gymnastics class that was probably a little rough on my body—but incredibly fun!
And I practiced Bikram yoga 3 times a week—spending quite a bit of money in the process (yes, it was worth it).
While I do miss that freedom and the benefits regular exercise gave me (I was in the best shape of my adult life during my Bikram stint), I’ve learned a lot of lessons in the last few years and realized that fitness isn’t a one-size-fits-all routine.
In fact, fitness isn’t about how many hours a week you spend at an expensive gym and sacrificing your freedoms—it’s about celebrating your body, having fun, and customizing a routine to fit your lifestyle.
The fitness app, Aaptiv, can help you do just that!
For the last 2 weeks, I’ve been able to sample several different programs and workouts found exclusively on Aaptiv.
Aaptiv offers dozens of workouts and energizing playlists for the novice and the more advanced fitness guru.
Each workout is crafted and narrated by a personal trainer, so you know you’re choosing a safe and effective routine every time.
While many of the workouts—particularly the race training and cardio selections—are 30 minutes to an hour, there are dozens of quick, 10-20 minute HIIT workouts, meditations, and yoga sessions perfect for my busy evenings or lunch breaks at work.
My favorites so far have been the walking meditations, and my husband and I have started doing some of the quick stretching routines in the evenings to unwind from our restrictive desk jobs.
The various HIIT workouts are fantastic for weeknights when I don’t have time to hit the gym but want to get in a productive and challenging sweat session at home. And now that we’re finally experiencing a bit of cooler weather, I’m excited about the various running workouts available.
Even though I’m not currently pregnant or recovering from childbirth, I’ve loved exploring some of the gentle strength and cardio workouts from the new Maternity Program, curated by certified pre- and post-natal fitness professionals. Even with little ones, exercise is so important!
As much as I love attending my favorite class—Cut, Cardio, and Core—at the YMCA each week, I know that I need to get my body moving more frequently during the week to feel my best, emotionally and physically. Aaptiv is a simple and fun way to supplement those gym workouts no matter if I’m at home or traveling.
With unlimited access at $9.99/month (Aaptiv also offers annual subscriptions for $99 and a lifetime membership for $399), the subscription is significantly cheaper than most of your big box gym memberships. And considering Aaptiv has an assortment of workouts that your more expensive boutique studios offer as well as nutrition programs, it’s a superb value.
Be sure to sign up for a free 7-day or 30-day trial.
Stay fit w/ @Aaptiv – your new favorite fitness app! Share on X**Many thanks to Aaptiv for allowing me to sample their app. I was not compensated for this blog post, and all opinions are my own.**
So tell me…
- Do you have a gym membership or do you work out on your own?
- What’s your biggest challenge when it comes to maintaining an exercise routine?
- Have you ever used a fitness app?

Nice! I believe, that I need to run a schedule for myself just like you did as well. You have implemented some really interesting ideas though, I will need to make sure to try them as well.
