Hi…are any of you guys still around?
I’ve been on a blogging break for over a month, which is unusual for me.
Blogging has been (and still is) my little happy place, but things around here have been so busy and challenging (at times) that fooling around with a computer in the evenings was the LAST thing on my mind. I needed a break.
But I’m back! And I think I’m ready to bring blogging back into my routine.
Such is life, right?
To everything there is a season…you all know how that goes.
When things are busy and stressful in one realm (in this case: work), you have to sit back, re-evaluate what’s important, and pick and choose the pieces that compose your current puzzle.
Writing is therapeutic to me, but sometimes I need a break from it.
Sometimes, much like venting frustrations with workmates and friends, writing about my emotions, frustrations, disappointments, visions, and challenges becomes a bit too much to handle.
So, while I was still reading a few blogs occasionally, posting on Instagram and Twitter, and even doing a little painting, I was also trying my best (though not always succeeding) to decompress.
There’s so much going on in the world—both in personal spaces and in the country—and I haven’t really known what to say.
And sometimes that’s ok. Sometimes we don’t have to speak out or offer solutions. Sometimes we just need to fully embrace our feelings, take care of our personal business, and enjoy the little things in our days that bring us joy. And think about how we may offer a bit of goodness, encouragement, and kindness within our own circles, and then build from there.
Much love to you all. <3

welcome back! i’m decompressing from a busy and stressful season right now. i’m trying to be gentle with myself and soften into the parts of myself that won’t allow me to rest or relax without guilt!

Thanks. Yes – why is it so hard for us to relax guilt-free? So much pressure!

I have pretty much nothing exciting going on in my life right now … and that’s just fine with me. I’m learning to enjoy the ordinary.

Sometimes it’s welcoming to have nothing going on or stressing us out!
