So…about these wontons.
They’re baked. If you want them to get super crispy, fry them.
Hot oil scares me—so I shamelessly took the easy road. But they’re still really tasty!
They’re cute, and the recipe is easy and straightforward. The perfect dessert or snack when you want just a little something sweet.
Cinnamon-Sugar Coated Pumpkin Cheesecake Wontons
Ingredients
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 6 TBSP pumpkin purée
- 4 TBSP granulated sugar
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- ¼ tsp pumpkin pie spice
- pinch of nutmeg
- ½ tsp vanilla bean paste (or extract)
- 20 (or so) Twin Dragon wonton wrappers
- cooking spray
- extra cinnamon/sugar for sprinkling
Directions
- Preheat oven to 450 F and line baking sheets with parchment or foil.
- In a medium size bowl, mix all your ingredients until well combined.
- To each wonton wrapper, add a scant TBSP of mixture. Moisten the sides/corners with water, and fold together until secure.
- Spray a thin layer of cooking spray on the wontons, and bake for 5-7 minutes.
- While hot, sprinkle with cinnamon sugar.
I think these would be fun to serve at a holiday party or simply to snack on. They have just enough sweetness to satisfy a craving, and they’re easy to eat!
