These summery grilled salmon sliders with cilantro lime slaw are the perfect sandwich for your next pool party or outdoor event. Using Cedar Bay Grilling Plank Salmon and bottled cilantro lime aioli, they come together with ease.
Growing up on the Alabama Gulf Coast, I’ve found that seafood is an essential part of my diet.
As a picky kid, fried shrimp were my jam, but as I grew older and more adventurous with my tastes, I began to enjoy red snapper, grouper, flounder, crab, red fish, and any other delight from the sea.
It wasn’t until my 20s when I discovered an affinity for sushi and vacationed in Seattle that I discovered how much I enjoy salmon. Whether it’s Atlantic or Pacific, I love how nutritious, satiating, and tasty a quality piece of salmon can be!
Last month I shared my first recipe in partnership with Cedar Bay Grilling Company, and today I’m giving you another easy and flavorful dish—this time featuring the Sugar and Spice salmon fillet.
If you can operate an oven/grill, open a jar, and dress a slider bun, then I think you can handle these grilled salmon sliders with cilantro lime slaw!
Grilled Salmon Sliders with Cilantro Lime Slaw
serves 6
Ingredients
- 1 package Cedar Bay Grilling Company Sugar and Spice Cedar Planked Atlantic Salmon, thawed
- 1 package slider buns or sweet Hawaiian style rolls, sliced
- 2 cups shredded radicchio (or slaw mix)
- 3 Tbsp cilantro lime aioli*
- 2 Tbsp rice wine vinegar
- 1 Tbsp honey
- salt & pepper, to taste
- 1-2 Tbsp chopped chives
Directions
- Preheat oven (or prepare grill) to 425° F.
- Cook salmon according to package directions, approximately 12-15 minutes until internal temperature has reached 145-158° F.
- Meanwhile, slice your rolls in half (if they are not already split) and toast them on the grill or a grill pan.
- Add your radicchio/slaw mix to a small (sealable) food storage dish and add the aioli, vinegar, honey, salt, pepper, and chives. Shake well to combine, and store in the refrigerator.
- To assemble the sliders, place a small square slice of salmon onto the bottom bun. Add a generous spoonful of cilantro lime slaw and your top bun. Bon appetite!
*We took the super easy route and used a bottled cilantro lime aioli, but to make your own, all you’d need to do is combine mayonnaise, lime juice, salt, pepper, and some chopped cilantro. Play around with the ratios until you find a flavor you enjoy!
We served roasted sweet potato fries on the side, but feel free to serve up some of your favorite summer salads—especially if you’re feeding a crowd.
