Hi readers (are there any of you out there still?).
It’s been a while. The last time I wrote on this blog, we were in the throes of a pandemic.
We still are unsure of a lot of things, and life is quite different than it was before.
But we keep pushing on, don’t we?
This may or may not be news to you, but I’m still writing.
Some of you follow me on my poetry account, wordsbycatherine, and you may even be aware of a little project I’ve been working on since late 2020.
My debut poetry collection: In Bloom
The Kindle ebook version of my collection is currently available for preorder on Amazon, and I’d love to share my words with you. The paperback and digital copies will be officially released on June 13, 2022.
It’s been a fun and rewarding process, and I’m so excited to see my words IN PRINT for others to read.
What to expect from this poetry collection?
Since I joined the Instagram poetry “community” (it truly is a community of talented, supportive, and amazing individuals) during the early days of the Covid-19 pandemic, there is, of course, a section of poetry detailing the ups, downs, and uncertainties of quarantine life.
There are also sections devoted to nature, family, and all the beautiful things that keep us grounded during difficult times. Without the support and connection to my city, my past, and my loved ones, I’m not sure where I’d be right now.
